Monthly Archives: March 2010

The challenge at Sketch Saturday is sponsored by Nikki Fairbairn of Bunny Zoe’s Crafts.

For this one I’ve used another download colouring page from precious moments.

I’ve coloured this cute couple in with the usual promarkers, the patterned papers are My Mind’s Eye 12×12 Bella Bella. The cherry blossoms and rose are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the pearls and lace are from the stash…….

……talking of stash, I’m off to the NEC Hobbycrafts show tomorrow, where I’m sure they’ll be some serious spending going on, not me though, I’m talking about the friends I’m going with LOL!!!!!

I’m SURE!!!!!! I’ll find lots to buy too, even though I don’t really need anymore, well that’s what I keep telling myself but it doesn’t work, addicted or what?

I’m soooooooo excited!!!!

Over at Penny Black Saturday, this week, there’s a sketch by Carole, I really like this sketch, very simple but effective.

I stamped this cute little rabbit in a cabbage, when I went to my friend Louise’s house and it’s been sat on the side for weeks, so I thought it was about time I used him, he’s called Butterfly Bunny 1439E. and he’s just the right size for the sketch. I’ve coloured him with promarkers, cut him out with a circle nestie and then cut a frame with a Nellie Snellen die. The patterned paper is Basic Grey 6×6 “Kioshi” and I’ve used a Martha Stewart around the page punch called double loops round the panel. Then a die cut butterfly, some raffia and a few pearls have been added to finish it off.

Here’s a closer look at that cute little bunny….

Thanks for stopping by!!!!

Happy Monday to you all!!!!

Over at Just Magnolia, sponsored by All that scraps, this week the challenge is to do an easel card and I love doing these. I thought I’d try another different shape for this one, a flower.

I had a card blank in my stash which was just a single panel, that was supposed to be mounted on a stand, so I used this to create the base card and panel for the front.

The stamps are all Magnolia, coloured with promarkers and the patterned papers are 6×6 basic grey ” kioshi” all available at Stampeezee. The sentiment is from craftwork cards, punched with SU scalloped and plain ovals and the butterfly is a pop up punch.

Here’s a couple of close ups….

It’s been a nightmare trying to load these photos, it’s taken me 2  hours to do this post and I’m not sure why?

Hope your day is going better than mine!!!!

Firstly I’m sorry for being such a bad blogger this week but it’s been busy, busy, busy. I ‘ll try to do better this week.

This week over at Passion for Promarkers they have a sketch by Debbi to follow and you can use any colours, I ‘ve rotated it to fit my image better.

I found this little cowboy while I was browsing some images on google, I think he’s a precious moments colouring page.

I printed him out onto Stampin Up Whisper white cardstock, left him to dry for a while and then coloured him with my promarkers.I think he’s soooo cute, he looks a bit sorry for himself though. The DP are a mixture of My Mind’s Eye, Bella Bella 12×12 and Papercrafts 4 you, collection 10 6×6. I’ve distressed the edges of the papers and added some brown ink to them, matted them all onto dark brown cardstock, added some raffia and candy dots and Hey Presto!!!!

Here’s a close up…

Great for a little boys birthday.

Thanks for stopping by and your patience. Please leave a comment, they are really appreciated!!!

I thought you might like to see this card I made for Debbie’s birthday last week, I was hoping to show it to you last week but with one thing and another I just haven’t had time to blog. “SORRY”!!!!

I’ve used Basic Grey origins papers for this card. I’m not sure if you can tell from the piccies, that the card opens in layers. The front flap opens first, then the left hand side panel opens next to reveal the inside of the card. I’ve used a nestie on the front.

I think the layering concept shows up better in the next piccie, this is the card inside. The left hand panel was stamped with a hero arts stamp ( which is now discontinued ). The right and centre panels were computer generated and the corners are made using a whale of a punch.

Here’s a close up of the gorgeous Hangler Stangler stamp, coloured with promarkers, Debbie actually bought me this stamp for my birthday, so I thought it would be a nice idea to use it on her card.

These sentiments on the card are SU stamps. I ‘ve torn round them then inked the edges.

The roses I’ve used were from Wild Orchid Crafts, which have been layered on top of a piece of tulle netting  and then onto another flower from my stash. Really love this.

Thanks for dropping by. Please leave a comment as I love to know what you think 😀
