Thanks for stopping by and your continued support, I know I haven’t been a very good blogger of late but things have been a bit hectic, hopefully things will slow down a bit soon and they’ll be time for lots more.

Good morning.

I’ve managed to combine 4 challenges today. The sketch I’ve followed is from Sketch Saturday, over at Basic Gray there’s a colour combo of turquoise, brown & cream, A Spoon Full of Sugar’s theme is “enjoying the sunshine” and last but not least the theme at Cards for Men is ” Father’s Day”

Card recipe

  • Stamp is “Popcorn the bear” by Crafters Companion.
  • Coloured with Promarkers.
  • DP, Basic Gray, 6×6 offbeat & archaic, SU, Bella Bleu.
  • Punches, EK Success embossed curve & Martha Stewart corner.
  • Craftwork Cards card candy.
  • “Father” buttons from the stash.

Here’s a closer look at Popcorn….

My Niece and hubbie had a baby boy on May 23rd, that makes me a great auntie for the 4th time. They’ve called him Dylan James. I thought I’d share a couple of things I made for them. Firstly, I made a 3d pram, instead of a flat card. Also I think this might qualify for cute card thursday, as the challenge is anything but square and this is certainly not square.

This was made using a template by Hasslecastle designs, you get the template for the pram and display box, their is also a template available for the parasol and pram bag, which really sets it off.

Here it is in the box….

…and here’s the tag that I wrote the verse in.

Secondly, I made this crib out of nappies and flannels, I saw this idea in a dutch magazine called ” Cards Only”, I can’t read it , but then I don’t usually read instructions, I go by the pictures, don’t you? and I can always get my lovely friend Marlene to translate it if I need to. 😀 Lucky or what ?

Here’s the tag I made to tie on it, appropriate I thought.

Great idea don’t you think, well I did.

Louise & David really liked them and Dylan is just gorgeous 😀

Thanks for looking!!

It was my Mum’s birthday last week, so I made her a reveal card. The left and right panels on the card close together and then you pull them apart to reveal the inside (surprise surprise)

Card recipe.

  • Reveal template by B.C.E.
  • SU Rose is a Rose stamp set.
  • DP ” kitchengarden” 12″x12″ by Panduro.
  • Quickcutz ” Abigail” alphabet.
  • Whale of a punch swirl, SU oval punches for the sentiment.
  • Stickles.
  • Pearls and bows from the stash.

Here’s a closer look at the inside.

Here’s a side panel you can see the stickles a bit better…

My Mum really loved it!!!!!!

I’d also like  to enter this into A Spoon Full of Sugar’s  challenge this week , which is ” Floral Delights” chosen by Debbie and sponsored by Bunny Zoe’s crafts.

Thanks for stopping by and please feel free to leave a comment as I love to read them!!! 😀

Happy Sunday!!!!!

This week over at Whiff of Joy the challenge is a sketch, provided by Donalda and sponsored by Wild Orchid crafts. I thought I’d  make a wedding card.

I’ve used the Whiff of joy Bride and Groom stamps. The frame has been cut with a spellbinders die, which I’ve threaded ribbon round. The two diagonal strips have been created using Martha Stewart punches and the flowers were made using a Whale of a punch retro flower, sprayed with glimmer mist and a pearl added to the centre. The sentiment has been punched out using SU oval punches. Finally, I’ve gone a bit mad with the stickles to give it some sparkle.

Thanks for stopping by!!!!

Are you having a good half term? It’s nice not to have to rush around in the mornings, but I don’t seem to get anything done.

Over at Cards For Men the challenge is “good luck” so I’ve fished out this Woodware set of stamps that I’ve had for ages, but has never seen ink and made this easel card. I’ve also followed the sketch over at Friday Sketchers.

Card Recipe

  • Woodware stamp set
  • Coloured with promarkers
  • A selection of DP but I’m not sure where I got them from I’ve had them for ages too.
  • Oval nesties, scalloped and plain.
  • Punches; EK Success & A whale of a punch corners.
  • Craftwork cards dots.
