Hi Everyone!!!

Had a rare few hours spare yesterday, so I thought I’d make a couple of cards for some of this weeks challenges. Today here’s the one I’ve made for Lili of the Valley’s challenge which is “Glitter and Glitz” and I’ve followed a sketch over at Friday Sketchers by Janneke, sponsored by Janice Hopper of Sunshine & Giggle¬†Stamps.

Card Recipe

  • “Little Ballerina” by LOTV¬†coloured with promarkers.
  • DP are My Minds Eye 12×12, Bella Bella and Penny Lane.
  • Sentiment from a set of stamps by My Favorite Things.
  • Nesties….Crown ovals, plain classic ovals and scalloped classic ovals.
  • Cherry Blossom flowers by Wild Orchid Crafts.
  • Gems from The Hobby House.
  • Stickles.

Here’s a closer look at that gorgeous little ballerina.

Unfortunately the glitter doesn’t¬†show up too well in the piccie, but lots of stickles were added and the pinks swirly paper was already glittery, the glitter shows up a little better on the cherry blossoms….

Thanks for stopping by ūüėÄ

I’ve been meaning to put this card on for ages, well, actually since July, that’s when our daughter Nicole’s birthday was. Oh well better late than never!!!!!!

It’s a star card and please be patient as there’s a lot of piccies as I¬†want to show you each page…..

…firstly here’s how it looks when it’s open, hence it’s name, Black, red and white are some of her favourite colours…

¬†….and here’s the first page, Nicole aged 1 day awwwwwww, the punch I’ve used is a Martha Stewart, I think it’s called double loop…

…18 months, enjoying an icecream…

…4 years old, dressed as Tinkerbell…

….aged 8, she never liked this hair cut….

…Nicole on her prom day, absolutely gorgeous!!!!!…

I’ve used a Tim Holtz sissix die for the letters and numbers¬†and nesties to cut out the photos and frames.

Here’s the front , when it’s closed…

…and here’s the back.

Lastly, the box it went in, it was made out of some Stampin Up 12×12 speciality paper. The words are computer generated and cut out with nesties.

Thanks or looking and your patience ūüėÄ

Hi, hope you’re having a good weekend!!!!

Here’s a step card I’ve made using acetate to form like a tent over the top.

I’ve used some old Magnolia stamps for the images, coloured with copics. Snowflakes have been stamped with white staz¬†on all over the front of the acetate. I’ve torn some strips of white card,¬†added some fluffy stuff and glitter and stuck them on the steps to form layers of snow, the fluffy stuff and glitter unfortunately doesn’t¬†show up very well in the piccie. Fluffy stuff has also been added to the trees and the fur trims on Tilda and Edwin and a¬†punched border has been added to the top of the card, finished off with a bow.

What a glorious wintery¬†scene, what a pity you can’t see the glitter as it really sparkles in real life. I think Tilda¬†in the front could do with a lovely mug of hot chocolate to warm her up, don’t you ? She looks freezing!!!!!!!!! burrrrrrrr.

Happy Friday!!!

I found a tutorial for a snow globe card over at splitcoast¬†stampers and as my youngest loves them I thought I’d have a go and it was really easy to make. ūüėÄ ¬†Also over at Cute Card Thursday this week “anything goes”¬† and at A Spoonful of Sugar it’s snow/snowflakes, so I thought I’d enter, fingers crossed.

For the snowman inside I’ve used a woodware¬†set of stamps¬†called “What is it” a really versatile set , available from Stampeezee 02476 591901. The acetate has been stamped with a snowflake stamp using a staz on white ink pad and fluffy stuff with a sprinkling of glitter was added to the snow top. The snowflakes on the front are cut with¬† Martha Stewart punches. I’ve also added a craftwork cards greeting inside, that you can’t see in the picture.

Thanks for stopping by!!!!

Happy Monday everyone!!!

Today is my Niece Vicky’s 21st birthday. Where did those years go?

“HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU”

Here’s the card I made her….

….¬†I’ve been playing with my gypsy and designed this card shape using the storybook cartridge for the letters and numbers¬†and the doodlecharms¬†cartridge for the rectangle, which when folded becomes the back of the card. I welded all the pieces together on the gypsy¬†and then cut them on the cricut. I love the way you are able to take elements from different cartridges and use them all together. I’ve also used a Stampin Up border punch along the top, some black glitter sticky strips, some gems and ribbon and some black and white 12×12 paper.

I’m really pleased with my first attempt at this and will definitely be using this method again.

Be back with some more cricut creations soon.
