Hi, hope you had a great weekend!!!!

A friend asked me to make a card for her friends 65th birthday, she said that she had a love for designer handbags.

So I put my thinking head on and found a Louis Vuitton design paper on Google. Then I thought about what sort of bag I could make? A5 size card cut into a handbag shape or a handbag template, but too small, or to cut a bag out with my cricut, still too small.

Then my friend Wendy came to the rescue ( A VERY BIG THANKYOU  TO YOU SWEETIE) she’d had some gift boxes cut and guess what, just perfect for a handbag………

The box was cut from white card, so I covered the front and back with the Louis Vuitton paper and the sides with 12″x 12″ beige paper. Made pockets out of the same paper and made some handles using my spellbinder oval nesties, added a button for a bit of bling and some faux stitching and hey presto!!

I think it will make a great little storage /gift bag too.

The lady I made it for was over the moon, let’s hope her friend loves it too!!

Hi Everyone!!!!!

I’ve got a couple of waterfall cards to show you today. The first is for a ladies 80th birthday………..

…..I ‘ve used some ready-made toppers, so these cards were quite quick to make. When you pull the ribbon at the bottom, the pictures flip over to reveal the next image…

The next one is for a man’s 70th birthday, he likes horse racing……

….again I’ve used ready-made toppers….

Hope the recipients liked them!!!!

I’m off to the Hinckley craft show today to buy more stash I don’t really need, but hey ho, how can a girl resist.

Hi Everyone…..My first post for 2011!!!!!!!!

I’ve been asked by my friend Mandy if I would do a few Valentines cards, so she can send them out to her Son in Afghanistan, he will then distribute them among his fellow comrades to  be  posted back to loved ones. I’m thrilled and honoured!!!!!!!

So Here’s the first…….

I’ve used a Hangler Stangler stamp that I’ve had for a while and I’ve coloured her with promarkers. The sentiment is a Hangler stamp too. The backing paper is from an old papermania stack ( I think) and I’ve distressed the edges. The zigzag edge to the triangle has been punched with a EK Success punch and the circle is a spellbinders die.

Here’s a closer look…..

I’ve used a piece of twine to replace the original stamped one, which strings the hearts together. I hope it’s not too cute.

Challenges entered.

Just Magnolia and Hangler ( anything goes)

Sketch Saturday ( sketch by Jilli)

Passion for Promarker (anything goes)
