Hi Everyone !!!

I’ve had a busy, busy weekend, our Daughter turned 18. So, no time to blog but we had a great time with family and friends.

I’ve got a couple of cards that I made for some friends birthdays to show you today.

The first one was for Louise, who had a big birthday this year….

It’s 8×8 in size. I’ve used a Marianne die called Anja’s large oval, that I bought at the motorcycle museum show last week, to mount the 50 on. The patterned papers are from Stampin Up, they are pearlised but it doesn’t show up very well in the piccie. The cream lattice die cut across the middle and the corners were cut with a Sue Wilson spellbinders lattice die set. The sentiment is from  Lili of the Valley and the rose ribbon was from The Hobby House. The organza bow and pins came from the stash. I’ve added some gold crystals just to finish it off.

Challenges entered

Charisma Cardz  – Monochrome

Crafting when we can  – Monochrome

Papertake weekly – Make your own ( boxalope )

I also made a boxalope for this card.

The second was for Rachel….

This is also 8×8, I really love this size card. I’ve used a m-bosslits folder for the patterned panel and inked it with black ink. The rosette is a cut and fold die by spellbinders, which has been cut out of black magic co-ordinations paper. This is black on one side and coloured on the other. The sentiment was stamped using a Woodware set of stamps. The black scroll was cut from a spellbinders set of dies called nautical frame and accents. The ribbon, pins and brad were from the stash.

Crafty catz – All that glitters

Cute card Thursday – Distressing

Be back soon with the creation I made for our daughter.

Hi Everyone

I just had to share these absolutely gorgeous flowers with you…

…three of my lovely ladies bought them for me to say thankyou, so a “very big thank you” Rachel, Dorothy and Kay, you made my day !!!!Free Smiley Courtesy of www.millan.net

I’ve never seen anything like them, all the roses have got jewels in the middle, there’s a beautiful tulle bow and a glittery dragonfly, all ready to recycle, I think,  LOL and the box I’ll also be able to use, how beautiful is that ?

This is the card they sent me too, really appropriate with the mugs of tea and the glue and scissors. People’s gratitude is sooooo over whelming, I nearly cried when I received them. I really can’t put into words how I felt thanks again.

I’d also like to thank ALL you fabulous ladies that have supported me over the past months!!!!!!Free Smiley Courtesy of www.millan.net

Have a great summer break whatever you are doing and let’s hope the sun comes out soon.

Hi Everyone.

I’ve got an 8″ x 8″ sewing themed card to show you today….

….I bought two embossing folders last week. The first one being the main focal feature of the card it’s one of the happy days range by Xcut called haberdashery, great value for money. I’ve embossed it twice, inked the edges and decoupaged certain elements for a 3d look.

The embossed doily in the background is by sizzix called scalloped circle doily set, there is also two borders in this set. I’ve embossed two, cut them out, inked them and added a few pearls.

The sentiment is from a creative expressions set of stamps called sewing elements, which has been stamped, die cut with circle nesties, inked whilst still in the die and then matted onto a scalloped circle.

The patterned papers were from a pick and mix I’ve had for a while. I’ve added a triple bow some buttons and some ribbon and lace trim for a finishing touch.

Challenges Entered

ABC – T for Two ( I’ve used two embossed doilies and two patterned papers)

Crafting When We Can – 1 image, 2 ribbons, 3 buttons.

Daring Card Makers – Lace and pearls.

MAWTT – Make it sentimental.

That Craft Place – Anything goes.

Totally Paper Crafts – Lots of layers.

Happy Monday Bloggers.

What’s the weather doing where you are…..it’s raining here, surprise surprise 😦

Oh well, good excuse to do some crafting 😀

I’ve a wedding card to show you today…This is a very similar design to the place settings and table names that I made for the couple.

This is a C5 card. The ivory panel has been die cut with a heartfelt creations die, I love this die and then the bottom section has been embossed with a spellbinders M-Bosslits folder. I’ve added some gems to the flowers on the die cut section. The sentiment has been computer generated and die cut using spellbinders oval and then matted onto a spellbinder floral ovals. A double ribbon has been added around the card with a heart-shaped diamante ribbon slider in the middle.

Here’s a closer look at the die cut section. The burgundy semi-circle around the outside is die cut from the same set of heartfelt creations dies.

Short and sweet from me today, off to finish a graduation card.

Hi Everyone.

Sorry for the lack of blogging but I’ve been busy, busy, busy with one thing and another. You know how life just takes over sometimes.

I went to my friend Rachel’s house on Sunday. Rachel, her mum Dorothy and friend Kay have a get together once a month and they kindly invited me to join in. THANK YOU Rachel I had a fabulous time and the bacon butties and company was great too !!!!!.

They set a challenge every month this months was CHRISTMAS !!!  yes Christmas in July, I don’t think I’ve ever made a Christmas card so early but I managed to make quite a few and I’ll have less to make nearer the time, this can only be a good thing 😀

Well here’s what I made….

….for the first two I used a crafts too embossing folder and then inked around the edges and over the image with a blue distress ink. To the first one I’ve added a greeting and some stickles, Really simple but effective. I made 4 of these……

….and to this second one I’ve added some ribbon and a bow. Think I might also add some gems to this one.

On this one I thought I’d try one without inking around the outside edge, I just inked the sentiment.

This card has been stamped with a versamark ink pad and then I’ve dusted mica powder over the top. I also made one similar but in gold.

Quite a productive day I think 😀
