My crafty place

Monthly Archives: June 2013

Hi everyone.

I’ve got a card I made for a friends Granddaughter today. Her favourite colour is purple.

DSC04069This card is A4 in size, folded lengthways. I’ve cut her name on the silhouette portrait. The shoe was printed from the Fabulous Shoes cd, to which I’ve added some text. This has then been cut out with my nesties. The border was created using a Stampin up punch. I’ve added some punched flowers and pearls, to the name and some stickles glitter glue to the shoe, to finish it off.

DSC04070Well I’m off to enjoy the lovely weather we’re having today. Have a lovely day whatever you might be doing !!!!

Hi Everyone.

Here’s a couple of cards I made for my Nephew’s birthday. They were quite quick and easy to make as I had a manic week. Everyone’s birthdays seem to come at once.

DSC04073This one is 8×8 in size. I’ve  used the Camden Town kit from Crafter’s companion, great for teenage boy’s cards. This was quite quick to make as it is mostly matt and layering.

DSC04077Secondly, this is the one I made for my mum to give him. It’s a Kanban sheet, I think. I printed the words on the computer and added a scalloped square in the background. Another quick card.

Morning everyone.

Just a quickie today.

I thought I’d show you the father’s day card I made using the silhouette portrait.

DSC04083This is an 8×8 square card. I found some free cutting files for the background and Fathers day sentiment from Birds Cards. For the cogs I found a picture on the net and then used the trace option on the silhouette to change it into a cutting file. I was really pleased how they came out.

Hi Everyone.

A friend asked me to make a card for her Grandson’s 2nd birthday and said he loved diggers, so I made this Scoop the digger card, from Bob the builder.

DSC04076I’ve used one of the die cut cards by Creative crafting world, I think these cards do the work for you, they have the wow factor all by themselves. Then I found a picture of Scoop from the internet and die cut it using some of my xxl dies by Go Create. I also cut some layers using the same die set. I’ve computer generated the sentiment and name, then layered them. love the striking yellow, black and white combination !!

Hugs for now

Hi Everyone.

It was my Aunties birthday at the weekend here’s the cards I made her..

The first one was for my Mum to give her…

DSC04071This is 8X8 in size I’ve cut the floral doily background on the silhouette portrait, absolutely love this design. I’ve made the roses with a flower punch and the leaves are  a punch too that also embosses the vein pattern on them. The corners have been cut with a spellbinders die and the words with a Britannia die set.

Hi everyone.

My husband asked me to make a get well card for one of his work colleagues, he’s had to have a heart operation. He likes playing the guitar and Segovia is one of his favourite guitarists, So here what I came up with.

DSC04047I found some clipart on the internet for everything except the sentiment. This has all been layered onto burgundy and black card and I’ve added a few punched corners to finish it off.

Bill said it was one of the best cards he’d had. 😀

Hi what a lovely sunshiny day we’ve had here 😀

It was my Mum’s birthday on Saturday, here’s the card I made her….

DSC04061

This is an 8″x8″ card. The floral doily and the bow were cut on the silhouette portrait, absolutely love this machine. The background has been embossed with one of Sue Wilson’s A4 embossing folders.

The flowers are a heartfelt creations set of stamps, that have been stamped with versamark ink and embossed with pearl embossing powder, then coloured with promarkers and decoupaged. Then I’ve added some cosmic shimmer pearl glue and a bit of glitter to the centres.

I’ve added some words cut with the Britannia word dies and some pearls.
