Hi everyone.

It was my Great Nephew Dylan’s 5th birthday yesterday. He had a minion themed birthday. My niece asked us to make him a couple of birthday cakes, as he had a party for his school friends on Friday and a family get together on Saturday. So here they are…….

the main cake was vanilla and the cupcakes were chocolate.DSC04680

Also here’s the card I made him.

It was cut on my brother scanncut from a free file I found here. Thank you soooo much for sharing this. I also added his age and name to it after I took this picture.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you’re enjoying your bank holiday weekend.

Hi Everyone.

I made this card a few months ago for twins.DSC04609It’s 8″x 8″ in size. I’ve used Sue Wilson’s weaving die to create the blue and pink woven background, which has then been framed  with another Sue Wilson die.The wording has been computer generated and punched out.

The booties have been stamped and the coloured, the bows have also been glittered.

Thanks for stopping by

Hi Everyone

It was our monthly crop day at Rachel’s on Sunday. We thought we’d have  a go at something a bit different to card making and decided on book art / folding. Here’s my first attempt.

DSC04655I chose Dad as it was a short word to start with. This is easier than it looks but is quite time-consuming, this took me 4 hours. I feel I still need to decorate the outside but was really pleased with the outcome so far. I will definitely be giving this another go.

Thank you Rachel for the fab hospitality !!!!!!! also Dorothy and kay for the company.

Hi Everyone.

I was asked by a friend of a friend to make a card for her daughter’s 18th, The brief was zebra print, black, white, lime green and silver. Her daughter also liked Pandora and Michael Kors………so this is what I came up with.DSC04638This is A4 in size. I’ve used some zebra print paper in the background, which has been matted onto lime green. The champagne bottle has been cut using a Arty Farty template. I’ve added a Pandora style bead around the neck of the bottle on a ribbon. The sentiment has been computer generated, die cut and layered.

I’ve cut the label with some spellbinders dies, added a die cut 18 and some gems.

DSC04637I’ve die cut some champagne flutes and added some stirrers, which have been foiled.

I also made a boxalope for the card to go in. I’ve die cut some corners and a label using Sue Wilson dies and the name has been printed and foiled in silver.

I think this fitted the brief.

Hugs for now

Hi Everyone

I have a Golden Wedding card to share today.DSC04623This is 8×8 in size and cased from the very talented Sue Wilson. I’ve embossed the background with the braided vines folder from Creative Expressions, which has been layered onto mirri gold. I’ve cut the ursa die from the gemini collection and placed it at the bottom. The centre squares have been cut with the times square die from the New York collection and the sentiment has been cut with the pierced flags.

DSC04624The flower has been cut with the camellia dies and I’ve added some petite vinery behind it. Then a few gems have been added to the corners and the centre of the flower.

Hi Everyone.

Here’s a card I made for my Sister-in-law’s birthday.DSC04607I’ve used a Tonic header die to create the top edge of the card and a border die, that I won in a raffle, down the edge of the rose topper.

DSC04608The rose has been stamped with black memento ink and coloured using ONE chameleon pen. I love how this turned out and the monochrome finish. I’ve die cut, matt and layered it and added some pearls.

I would like to enter this card into this week’s challenge over at Papertake Weekly, where the theme is anything goes with the optional extra of using no pattered paper.

Thanks for stopping by and all your lovely comments, they are very much appreciated 😀
