My crafty place

Monthly Archives: August 2015

Hi everyone.

Happy bank holiday Monday. Hope the weather where you are is better than here, it’s a bit of a wash out, rained all day.

Here’s a card I made a while ago.

DSC04538

This is 8×8 in size. The background has been stamped, onto white card and heat embossed with white powder. Then I’ve used distress ink over the top, this makes the stamped design pop. I’ve also  same technique for the circle behind the silhouette lady. The rest of the card, the floral doily, the lady, the bow and the circular sentiment has been cut on the silhouette portrait. I’ve just added a few pearls to finish it off.

Thanks for stopping by,Enjoy the rest of your bank holiday.

Hi Everyone.

Here’s a book I folded for my Auntie’s birthday back in June.

Here’s a closer look at the fuchsias.

DSC04710

They have been stamped and embossed with white powder on to parchment paper. Then I’ve coloured them on the back with my spectrum noir pens and die cut them with the corresponding die, these are by Heartfelt Creations.

I’ve covered the outside of the book with papers from Heartfelt Creations. I’ve printed a verse on the laser printer and foiled it in pink, then die cut it with a spellbinders die.

Hi bloggers.

I found pictures of some cards and things I made a while ago.

This one was for a friend, whose friend was 50

DSC04649Most of this card has been die cut.

DSC04650

The champagne flutes are a Marianne die and the label, I think, is a Sue Wilson Die.

The greeting around the neck has been printed on my laser printer, foiled and die cut.

Thanks for stopping by, check back soon as I’ve got a book I folded for my Auntie’s birthday that I’ve not shared yet.

Hi everyone.

Well, what a fabulous wedding we had. The cake got there in one piece, much to my relief and the weather was fab.

I made them a keepsake folded book instead of a card.

They loved it !!!!

Thank you for stopping by and all your wonderful comments, I love reading them 😀

Hi everyone

My brother, Andy gets married to Hayley tomorrow. I made the invitations earlier in the year. This week I’ve made the place cards, table numbers, the table plan and the cake.

Here’s the cake….

Four tiers vanilla, chocolate, carrot and lemon with silver cake lace butterflies to decorate it. Really pleased with it.

The table plan…..

These were also cut on the silhouette.

Just got to get the cake to the venue in one piece, then I can relax.

Hi Everyone

It was our Daughter’s 21st birthday at the end of last month. Here’s what I made her.

A box card.

DSC04856

This was cut on the silhouette portrait.

DSC04862The card I made from her brother’s.

DSC04865

The bottle and glasses were also cut on the silhouette and the words were die cut with a spellbinders die. I’ve also added some gems, a dazzler and a bow. The card is A4 in size.

An mdf key.

DSC04861

The key has been covered in the same papers as her card. I’ve added the word DAUGHTER, some hearts and flourishes, which are all wooden covered with silver wax. I’ve also added a 21, an organza bow with a dazzler in the middle and gems all around the edge.

Thanks for stopping by.
