Hi Everyone.

Here’s a book I folded for my Auntie’s birthday back in June.

Here’s a closer look at the fuchsias.

DSC04710

They have been stamped and embossed with white powder on to parchment paper. Then I’ve coloured them on the back with my spectrum noir pens and die cut them with the corresponding die, these are by Heartfelt Creations.

DSC04711

I’ve covered the outside of the book with papers from Heartfelt Creations. I’ve printed a verse on the laser printer and foiled it in pink, then die cut it with a spellbinders die.

Hi Everyone

It was our monthly crop day at Rachel’s on Sunday. We thought we’d have  a go at something a bit different to card making and decided on book art / folding. Here’s my first attempt.

DSC04655I chose Dad as it was a short word to start with. This is easier than it looks but is quite time-consuming, this took me 4 hours. I feel I still need to decorate the outside but was really pleased with the outcome so far. I will definitely be giving this another go.

Thank you Rachel for the fab hospitality !!!!!!! also Dorothy and kay for the company.

Hi Everyone.

Here’s a birthday card I made for a friend a while ago, I thought I’d posted this already but looking back I hadn’t.

DSC04512

It’s 8×8 in size. The papers are from heartfelt creations. The corners have been die cut from some patterned paper.

DSC04514

The sunflowers in the bucket and the sunflowers on the corner have been stamped and then coloured using promarkers, these are also from heartfelt creations.

DSC04515

These sunflowers were stamped on acetate first and embossed with a glitter embossing powder and then I’ve added the sunflowers to the top.

DSC04516

The bow has also been die cut from patterned paper, using a Sue Wilson die and I’ve added a gem to the centre.

DSC04513

The sentiment has been stamped and then punched out, these are from Stampin up.

The flowers have been stamped and embossed with white powder onto turquoise card and then die cut with the corresponding die, these stamps and dies are by Heartfelt Creations. I’ve added some die cut some fern leaves using a Sue Wilson finishing touches die, added some feathers and a gem and pearl centre.

The bow has been cut with another of Sue’s dies and added to each corner.

Hi Bloggers.

I made this card for our great nephew George. He had a dinosaur party, so I thought I’d go with the theme.

DSC04584

Everything for the card was cut on my silhouette portrait cutting machine.  Most of the cutting files were bought from the silhouette store.

DSC04585

I love how these dinosaurs turned out.

DSC04586

I fixed them to the card with a wobble spring so they moved.

DSC04587

I added his name to personalise it. Overall I was really pleased with how this turned out.

Hi Everyone.

It’s been a busy few weeks, so sorry for the lack of blogging.

There’s been quite a few birthdays, including our darling daughter’s. So here’s the cards I made her.

Firstly this one was created on my silhouette portrait.

DSC04492

I typed the word Daughter, created an offset and welded it together. then I duplicated this, flipped it then welded the 2 sections together to form the black base card.

Then I used the original letters and cut them out of gold card. Then I created an inset of the letters and cut them in red.

I added some punched flowers and some gems to finish it off.

Secondly here’s the one I made for our son’s to give her, she loves to bake so thought this was quite fitting.

DSC04491

This is 8×8 in size. I’ve used a tonic die to cut the diamond base from black card and white glittered card.

DSC04493

The cake was cut using a cottage cutz die from black, white and silver card and pieced together.

DSC04494

The mixer and the utensils have been cut with Joy craft dies, which I have cut into and pieced together.

DSC04495

I’ve added a stamped lili of the valley circular sentiment, a bow and some gems.

Be back soon with some cards I’ve made for friends birthdays.

Hello !!!

Yesterday was crop day at Rachel’s. It was quite an eventful day as our friend, Kay became a grandma for the first time to a baby boy called Kian. CONGRATULATIONS to all the family. So needless to say the crafting went a bit to pot in all the excitement but we all managed one card.

Here’s the challenge that was set by Rachel, it’s a fusion challenge from March……..

fusion march27

,,,,and here’s my card.

DSC04355

It’s 8×8 in size. I’ve used the sketch and the inspiration picture.

Firstly, I die cut a mannequin, with a Tim Holtz sizzix die, from natural card stock and over stamped it in black ink with a script stamp. Then I inked around the edges with distress ink. I’ve cut, folded  and inked a doily to form the skirt on the mannequin and added a button.

DSC04356

For the base of the card I’ve taken a piece of patterned card and inked through a brick mask with distress ink, then matted this onto black.

DSC04357

Then for the layers I’ve matted a piece of graphic 45 paper on to black for one panel and embossed some natural card using an A4 folder by crafter’s companion called knit one pearl one for the second one. I’ve inked this with distress ink, to bring the pattern out a bit and matted it onto black.

DSC04358

I’ve punched a button border from some kanban card stock using a punch by EK success ( I think)

DSC04356

I’ve die cut an oval using the grand plain ovals ( borrowed from Rachel ) from mustard card stock and then cut one from brown kanban card stock using the grand decorative ovals, for a base to my mannequin.

I’ve also added a few buttons, threaded with twine, for decoration and I think I’ll add a sentiment when I know who I’ll be sending it to.

Well I think I should go and make my friend Kay a new grandparent card. Have a lovely day whatever you might be doing.

Hugs for now.

I’ve used the pram template by hasslecastle designs. I’ve added some ruffled dotty ribbon around the hood and the cover was cut on the silhouette portrait. The sides were cut with a tonic die.
