Fairy House

Hi everyone.

I’ve got another book folding project for you today. It’s a fairy house.

DSC04913

I found some instructions for the folding of the book on you tube, it’s really easy to do and could be the base for many different things, bird house, carousel, animals ect. Just google book folding images.

DSC04901

I’ve designed a door on my silhouette and stamped the wood grain pattern onto the surface. Then I’ve die cut a fence using a spellbinders die and added a wooden butterfly.

DSC04902

The kusudama flowers have all been folded, again instructions found on you tube, out of patterned paper. Then I’ve added some foliage, glitter that has been die cut and a wooden fairy.

I think this book folding is a bit addictive but they make great presents, although I don’t think my fairy house will be going anywhere. Thanks for popping by.:D

Christmas Joy

Hi everyone.

Here’s a Christmas book folding project.

DSC04904

I’ve used the alphabet cd by Peerless designs for the pattern to fold the book., then I’ve covered it with patterned papers.

I’ve also decorated it with some die cut poinsettia, holly sprigs and some corners.

I’d like to enter this into the following challenge.

Niece’s 3rd Birthday

Hi everyone.

It was our Niece’s 3rd birthday yesterday, here’s the card I made her.

12041277_10154338930713298_32459185_o

This was cut on the silhouette portrait. It started off as a flat shaped card from the silhouette store. This created the back panel, then I removed the centre turret and cut the front section.

11901447_10154339006668298_358552913_o

Then I created some side panels, using parts of the original design and added some flags from another file.I added princess Peppa, her name and age and hey presto a fairy castle box card.

I’m sure I’ll use this again as a change of colour combination and some knights and you have a boys card.

Our Niece absolutely loved it !!!!:D

Teenage Sneaker

Hi everyone.

It was our youngest’s 17th birthday last week. Here’s the cards I made him.

Firstly the one from his brother and sister.

DSC04881

This card has been cut on the silhouette portrait. I’ve stitched, by hand, around the denim part of the sneaker and added some seam binding for the laces. The sentiment has been stamped in black, using a stamp set by Lili of the Valley, then cut out and layered with some circle die cuts, just perfect for this card.

Secondly…
DSC04882This is 8×8 in size. He is, like most teenage boys, into his gaming computer. Very simple but I thought this would be apt.

DSC04883

This also has a step detail on the inside and his name. The grey panels have been embossed and I’ve added a verse.

Silhouette Lady

Hi everyone.

Happy bank holiday Monday. Hope the weather where you are is better than here, it’s a bit of a wash out, rained all day.

Here’s a card I made a while ago.

DSC04538

This is 8×8 in size. The background has been stamped, onto white card and heat embossed with white powder. Then I’ve used distress ink over the top, this makes the stamped design pop. I’ve also  same technique for the circle behind the silhouette lady. The rest of the card, the floral doily, the lady, the bow and the circular sentiment has been cut on the silhouette portrait. I’ve just added a few pearls to finish it off.

Thanks for stopping by,Enjoy the rest of your bank holiday.

Auntie Folded Book

Hi Everyone.

Here’s a book I folded for my Auntie’s birthday back in June.

DSC04708

Here’s a closer look at the fuchsias.

DSC04710

They have been stamped and embossed with white powder on to parchment paper. Then I’ve coloured them on the back with my spectrum noir pens and die cut them with the corresponding die, these are by Heartfelt Creations.

DSC04711

I’ve covered the outside of the book with papers from Heartfelt Creations. I’ve printed a verse on the laser printer and foiled it in pink, then die cut it with a spellbinders die.

50th Champagne Wishes

Hi bloggers.

I found pictures of some cards and things I made a while ago.

This one was for a friend, whose friend was 50

DSC04649Most of this card has been die cut.

DSC04650

The champagne flutes are a Marianne die and the label, I think, is a Sue Wilson Die.

DSC04651

The greeting around the neck has been printed on my laser printer, foiled and die cut.

Thanks for stopping by, check back soon as I’ve got a book I folded for my Auntie’s birthday that I’ve not shared yet.

Mr & Mrs folded book

Hi everyone.

Well, what a fabulous wedding we had. The cake got there in one piece, much to my relief and the weather was fab.

I made them a keepsake folded book instead of a card.

11877687_10154233454228298_340669892_o

The outside of the book.

11894803_10154233456738298_669834787_o11874301_10154233457023298_1741462778_oI should have taken some pictures before I’d cellophane wrapped it, but totally forgot. So I had my new sister-in-law send me these.

They loved it !!!!

Thank you for stopping by and all your wonderful comments, I love reading them 😀
