Hi Everyone…..My first post for 2011!!!!!!!!

I’ve been asked by my friend Mandy if I would do a few Valentines cards, so she can send them out to her Son in Afghanistan, he will then distribute them among his fellow comrades to  be  posted back to loved ones. I’m thrilled and honoured!!!!!!!

So Here’s the first…….

I’ve used a Hangler Stangler stamp that I’ve had for a while and I’ve coloured her with promarkers. The sentiment is a Hangler stamp too. The backing paper is from an old papermania stack ( I think) and I’ve distressed the edges. The zigzag edge to the triangle has been punched with a EK Success punch and the circle is a spellbinders die.

Here’s a closer look…..

I’ve used a piece of twine to replace the original stamped one, which strings the hearts together. I hope it’s not too cute.

Challenges entered.

Just Magnolia and Hangler ( anything goes)

Sketch Saturday ( sketch by Jilli)

Passion for Promarker (anything goes)

Thanks For stopping by 😀

I received some gorgeous Hanglar Stanglar stamps yesterday, so naturally I had to play with them today and what better way than to enter a couple of challenges. So I’ve followed the sketch by the very talented Carole over at Friday Sketchers, but I’ve rotated it to fit the image better, sponsored by Simon Says Stamps and I ‘ve followed the theme over at Passion For Promarkers , chosen by Maria, which is “in the garden” sponsored by Joanna Sheen.

Card Recipe

  • Stamps a Hanglar Stanglar little girl ( sorry not sure what she’s called ) Magnolia flower and butterfly from the spring kit. Sentiment stamp from Cuddly Buddly ” Little Miss Daisy’s greetings”.
  • DP My Mind’s Eye pretty please and bloom and grow 6×6.
  • Punches EK Success Daisy Chain and SU scalloped border.
  • Pearls from The Hobby House.

Here’s a closer look at that gorgeous Hanglar stamp…

…the gelly roll glitter pen that’s on the flowers shows up a little better in this piccie.

Thanks for stopping by 😀

I thought you might like to see this card I made for Debbie’s birthday last week, I was hoping to show it to you last week but with one thing and another I just haven’t had time to blog. “SORRY”!!!!

I’ve used Basic Grey origins papers for this card. I’m not sure if you can tell from the piccies, that the card opens in layers. The front flap opens first, then the left hand side panel opens next to reveal the inside of the card. I’ve used a nestie on the front.

I think the layering concept shows up better in the next piccie, this is the card inside. The left hand panel was stamped with a hero arts stamp ( which is now discontinued ). The right and centre panels were computer generated and the corners are made using a whale of a punch.

Here’s a close up of the gorgeous Hangler Stangler stamp, coloured with promarkers, Debbie actually bought me this stamp for my birthday, so I thought it would be a nice idea to use it on her card.

These sentiments on the card are SU stamps. I ‘ve torn round them then inked the edges.

The roses I’ve used were from Wild Orchid Crafts, which have been layered on top of a piece of tulle netting  and then onto another flower from my stash. Really love this.

Thanks for dropping by. Please leave a comment as I love to know what you think 😀

Mum & Dad came to stay, they arrived Christmas eve and went home today, so not much time for crafting but I’ve found some time this afternoon to do this card for the Friday Sketchers challenge, the sketch is by Claudia, which I’ve rotated to fit my image better. There is also a blog hop going on over at Friday Sketchers  in conjunction with the challenge. I ‘ve finally used a Hangler Stangler stamp that Debbie bought me for my birthday back at the beginning of December. I also got  another Hangler stamp from Marlene, hopefully show you that one soon. What a lucky girl  am I to own some Hangler stamps, they’re soooooooo cute.

  • Image Hangler Stangler.
  • Coloured with a combination of copics & promarkers.
  • DP K & Co 8.5 x 8.5 Tulip pad by Tim Coffey.
