Happy Thursday everyone!!!

I made this card for the whiff of joy DT call  following the sketch Katherina provided but I realised I was too late to enter (oh damn never mind) but then to my surprise I ‘ve noticed that the challenge over at a spoon full of sugar this week #88 is freestyle picked by Sandra, so hopefully this will fit in perfectly. I was soooo happy all that work has been put to good use.

The papers I’ve used are my minds eye pretty please spring papers, that were free with cardmaking and papercrafts. The image is dreamy Willow with flowers by Whiff of joy stamps coloured with promarkers. I’ve used a Martha Stewart around the page double loops punch, an xcut butterfly and a branch punch by McGill. I’ve also used nesties, round and rectangle and the roses are from Wild Orchid Crafts. I’ve also added a few pearls just to finish it off.

Here’s a few close ups

The Butterfly.

And those gorgeous roses, I just love these.

The curly bits are the stems of the flowers that have been wrapped around a barbecue skewer.

Thanks for looking. Please leave a comment as I love reading them.

A friend asked me to do some invitations for a combined silver wedding, 50th birthday and 60th birthday celebration. I made 3 samples.

For this one I used a quickkutz embossing folder in the centre, a SU scalloped border punch down the sides and a heart corner punch. The words were computer generated and cut out with nesties. A few pearls were added and hey presto!!

For this one I used a round and scalloped SU punch to cut out the computer generated text, added some ribbon and a bow.

This next one is the one she picked.

I used nesties to cut out the computer generated words. The corners on the blue mat were punched with a corner adorner and the swirls were punched with a whale of a punch. The little tiny daisies were also punched out and a gem was added to the centre, a bit of ribbon and your done.

Well she thought they were great.

Happy Sunday !!!!!

Sorry for the lack of blogging,( Creep Creep ) but I’ve recently been introduced to Face Book, I know this is no excuse and I hope to be doing a lot more crafting.

I became a great-aunt for the third time on the 13th Jan, my niece Debbie and her husband Rob had a beautiful baby boy. He arrived 5 weeks early and was only 4.5lbs but all are doing well.

I’ve made this pram for them, makes a change from a card, it’s taken this long as I’ve been waiting to find out his name, so I could personalise it. His name is George.

I’ve used a Hasslecastle serendipity pram template and the accessory pack for the pram bag and storm cover. The Wheels are die cuts which you can buy separately. The frill on the hood was created with a Martha Stewart deep edge punch and the side detail was punched with a whale of a punch. The brads and spacers I bought at ally pally last year, I think they were from

The little polka dot teddy I got from Wil Orchid Crafts, I’ve attached it with a couple of jump rings. You can see the pram bag better in this piccie, I think it sets it off a treat. In the accessory pack you also get a template for a parasol, the storm cover and a sun canopy.

There is also the template for the box in the pack, Which showcases it beautifully. I ‘ve added some peel off around the windows and used that Martha Stewart punch around the lid.

Well I hope they like it, have a good Sunday whatever you’re doing, I’m off to cook the dinner and do some ironing Arghhhhh!!!!

THANKS !!! Michele for picking me.

Whooo Whooo !!!  it’s the weekend again and thank god all that snow has nearly disappeared, although it’s lovely when you haven’t got to go anywhere.

I thought I’d share this side step card with you, it’s a sample for a workshop at Stampeezee.

If you live near Coventry and fancy having a go at this side step card, give Debbie at Stampeezee a ring 02476591901 and book a place, there’s a couple of dates available. What better way can you think of to spend a couple of hours being creative and having fun!!!!

Here’s a few close-ups

You can see how the side step works a little better in this piccie

Well I hope you have a great weekend, whatever you’re doing!!!

Happy Wednesday!!!

Have you had much more snow where you are? We’ve had a covering and it’s been snowing for much of the day but it hasn’t really settled.

A friend asked me to make this car for her brother’s birthday. It’s made from an Arty Farty template.

Here’s a view from the back.

And here it is in it’s box

I hope my friends brother likes it.

Hi everyone. Are you fed up with this freezing weather yet? I am roll on the lighter nights and warmer weather!!

It was my hubbie’s birthday yesterday (Sunday) and as usual I left his card to the last-minute, well I was planning to spend Saturday making it but my youngest, Adam, came home from school on Friday not feeling too well. So after a bad nights sleep and between hugs and general sympathy all day Saturday there wasn’t much time for crafting, therefore it was a quick card.

The image is a funstamps stamp, I’ve stamped it twice and 3d the collar, tie, cuffs and shirt pocket. The DP were some old ones from the stash and the stars and tabs are SU punches. The sentiments are Craftwork cards. I followed the same sketch as in the previous post and made the card 8×8 in size. I think monochrome black and white always looks classy.

Here’s a close up of that shirt

Anyway Adam is much better today and went to school and hubbie at least got a hand-made card. I’m off to bed now be back tomorrow.

Hi, hope your having a good weekend!!!

Over at a Spoon full of sugar the challenge is HEARTS, at Passion for promarkers it’s a sketch to follow plus the theme of LOVE and at Whiff of Joy it’s the colours AQUA and RED, using a whiff of joy image. Luckily I ‘ve been able to combine all three challenges with one card.

This card is 8×8 in size to allow for the papers I used to fit in with the sketch.

Card Recipe

  • Image Melinda blowing kisses by Whiff of joy
  • Coloured with Promarkers
  • DP Daisy Bucket, Love you, love notes collection, sorry not sure what the red check paper is
  • Martha Stewart lattice heart deep border punch, McGill branch punch
  • Wired flower hearts and red flowers by crafty bits, had these in my stash for ages

These aren’t colours I would normally use together, but these papers made it easy as half the work was done for me.

…here’s a close up of Melinda, you can also see the touches of stickles I’ve added to the flower centers and heart in this piccie….

…and here’s those wired flower hearts, I think the colour of these fitted in really well….

I’m off to do some shopping now, enjoy your Saturday!!!
