WHOOOP WHOOOOP !!!!!!

I’ve been picked by Maria as a top 5 passionista, over at Passion for Promarkers, this week. I’m over the moon, it means soooo much to be picked out from so many entries 😀  “THANKS” Maria. ( scroll down to the next post to see the entry)

Well, after scraping myself off the ceiling, onto this weeks challenge over at Cards for Men, sponsored by the lovely Donna from Donna’s Den of crafts. The challenge is ” monochromatic”. I hope this card qualifies, I’ve chosen brown……

I’ve used the U Mount create~a~scene set called “The Train”. The elements in the foreground like, the station master, the clock, the suitcases, the lamp and the flower tub have been masked off before the train was stamped in the background. They have been stamped with Vintage Photo distress ink and then brushed over with a water brush to blend in the colour. Then I’ve mat &  layered the picture up onto different shades of card and hey presto the finished card.

Here’s a closer look at the scene….

I’m off to Marlene’s now to have closer look at the mini album she’s been making, lucky or what!!!! Pop over to her blog and take a look here.

Happy Saturday!!!!

Well I’m feeling 100% again, I think this sunshine has got something to do with it, although I didn’t see much of it today as I was demonstrating U Mount Create~a~scene stamps at Stampeezee, which went really well. It was lovely to see sooooo many faces, some familiar and some new. I spent 6hrs playing but the time just flew by, it only felt like I’d been sitting there for a couple of hours. I had a fab time!!!!!

Here’s a few more samples…..

The Cottage….

These were all painted with distress inks.

Hope you ‘ve enjoyed looking at these, please leave a comment and tell me what you think and if you were able to make it to the demo today I’d love to hear what you thought and say a big thankyou for your support 😀

Happy Friday!!!! Yay the weekends nearly here.

Over at Cards for Men the challenge is “Fancy Folds”. So I thought I’d make a diamond top card, which should fit in with the challenge perfectly.

Card Recipe

  • U Mount “Strong and Brave” Stamps.
  • Coloured with Distress Inks.
  • Sissix Star Die.
  • Whale of a Punch Corners.
  • Craftwork Cards Candy Dots.
  • DP from the stash.

Here’s a piccie taken at a bit of an angle. so you can see the dimension a little better..

These stamps are great if you know anyone in the forces or you could change the colours and then they would be good for men in general.

Here’s a close up of the helicopter..

This is my 1ooth  post WHOO WHOO!!! 😀

Had a fab day yesterday, the weather was a  gorgeous 16 degrees so we visited Paignton zoo, walked along the pier and the beach, today is very much the same if not warmer, so we’re sitting on the decking, looking out over the fields soaking it up, AHHHHH Luxury!!!! 😛

Anyway that’s enough of making you jealous.

I thought I’d show you a few samples of some cards I’ve made with the U Mount create a scene stamps.

I will be using these stamps on the Demo day at Stampeezee on the 24th April between 10am~4pm.

The Train set.

The Pub set

The Cottage set

I’ll be making quite a few more samples over the next couple of weeks, so pop back to take a look and if your not too busy on the 24th why not pop along to Stampeezee and come and see how to recreate some of these cards.

I’m travelling home tonight so I can go to Ally Pally with Marlene & Shirley tomorrow, what a perfect way to end the week 😀
