Mojo Monday Wk114 & Cute Card Thursday 88

Happy Friday Everyone!!!

Well what a week this has been, Firstly sorry for the lack of blogging, I caught one of those wintery bugs that are doing the rounds at the moment, so I’ve been full of cold  &  feeling pretty yukkie for most of the week, but I’m feeling much better today.

I sat yesterday colouring in a few images that I downloaded for FREE, yes FREE  from Cuddly Buddly, this Dragon is designed by Kim MacFarlane isn’t it soooo cute? I printed it onto whisper white card stock, I was a little worried that it might smudge when I coloured it but hey presto!! no smudging, although I had printed them a few days before, don’t know if this made any difference.

I’ve combined Two challenges Mojo Monday which is a fab sketch by Julee and Cute Card Thursday which is Snips, Snails and Puppy dog tails, cards for younger boys.

 

I’ve turned this sketch into an easel card, so I’ve used the sketch twice.

Card Ingredients

• Free digi download from Cuddly Buddly, coloured with promarkers.
• DP is Basic Grey 6×6 Archaic pad.
• Border punches  SU scalloped and Martha Stewart two dot.
• Square scalloped and inverted scalloped Nesties and round plain and scalloped Nesties.
• SU ribbon.
• Craftwork Card dots.

Just Magnolia wk32, Sketch Saturday & Basic Grey

Happy Monday Everyone, What’s the weather like where you are? here it’s showery with sunny intervals, perfect crafting day I think!!!

I’ve managed to combine 3 challenges today; Just Magnolia which is masking, Sketch Saturday which is the sketch I followed and Basic grey which is glitz and bling. Haven’t I done well, I think so anyway.

 

I’ve stamped Tilda first then masked her and stamped the chocolate box background in afterward, coloured it with promarkers and then added some glaze to the lolly and sweetie jar. This covers the masking part of the challenge at Just Magnolia.

For the glitz & bling over at basic grey I’ve used some gem letters to spell out the word sweet and some gems in the corner, there is also some sakura glitter gel pen highlights on tilda’s bow and the lacey frill but they don’t show in the piccie, sorry the light is pretty bad today. I’ve also used BG papers from the lemonade 6×6 pad.

The sketch is from Sketch Saturday, really loved this, will be using this one again.

Chloe’s Birthday

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHLOE!!!!!!!!

Chloe is my son’s girlfriend, therefore I’ve made her two cards, one from me , Anton( my hubbie), Nicole and Adam and one from David.

For David I made this Star Card, I really love how this turned out!!! It’s called a star card because that what it looks like from the top when it’s opened.

 

Here’s piccies of each page, there are 5 altogether, each has a letter on it that spells out her name, so here’s C, the heart has been suspended on a strip of acetate.

 

Here’s H, again more acetate strips for the butterflies, which have been stamped and embossed onto vellum.

Here’s O, yet more acetate. Can you imagine how much these butterflies and hearts just float around on the pages?

 

Here’s E, all the corners on the card are punched with a Whale of a punch available at Stampeezee. My friend Mandy bought me this one, A BIG THANKS Manders( aren’t I a lucky girl)

Twinkle Tots

Hi hope your having a great Sunday!!!

I made this card with using Madelynn one of the Geeting Farm twinkle tots available at Stampeezee, isn’t she gorgeous!!!!

When I was putting the card together I wanted some dimension, so I added some concertina type spring to the sides to raise the front off the card, this gave the frame some height (sorry this doesn’t show up too well in the piccie) I’m sure I will be making some more or these.

Here’s a close up of Madelynn, she’s coloured with copics and the glittery bits are done with a sakura gelly roll pen. The sentiment was from a stamp set my friend Marlene bought me a while ago, cut out with nesties and the DP Hummm, sorry I can’t remember.

Here’s a close up of the flower, I just love making these, it has been spritzed with glimmer mist.

 

I’ve got some more of these beauties to use, so watch this space.

Easel Card

Good Evening!!! Yay it’s Friday, another weekend to look forward to.

The challenge over at Secret crafters this week is to make an easel card, I ‘ve made this one for a friend, I love doing these cards.They’re something just a little bit different and really easy.

Here’s a side view

The BP on this card are from the Papermania big one 12 x12 pad, the shoe stamps are Hreo Arts High Heels and the sentiment is from a Fairy doodles set, stuck onto a fancy tags nestie. I’ve also used plain and scalloped circle nesties and embossed the shoes with sparkly black powder( this dosn’t show in the piccie)

New Magnolias

Happy Monday everyone

Well as promised here’s the cards I made with the new Magnolias, they’re called Tilda with misteltoe and unwrapped Tilda. These have been coloured with my new copic markers, I think I need to practice a bit more but overall I was quite pleased with my first try!!

NEC Stash

Well!!!! ladies and gentlemen (of course) I’ve finally given in to temptation whilst at the NEC and invested in a few copics (I know what your all thinking) LOL. Here’s a piccie of what I bought, I think I was quite good!!

 

As you can see I got some of the new Magnolia’s and I’ve made a couple of cards using them and the copics, I’ll put them up tomorrow when I’ve had chance to take a piccie of them.
